WWII PURPLE HEART RECIPIENT CELEBRATES 93RD BIRTHDAY ON MEMORIAL DAY
Enterprise, FL (May 30, 2011) – This Monday, May 30th, marks the 143rd anniversary of the national holiday honoring those brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of freedom.  This Memorial Day will also be a unique opportunity to celebrate the 93rd birthday of World War II Veteran, Bronze Star and two-time Purple Heart recipient, Oliver O. Coppi, now residing in Enterprise, Volusia County, FL.  With countless other brave young men, Coppi of the Company A 36th Armored Infantry Regiment – U.S. Army, stormed the heavily fortified beaches of southern France in the D-Day invasion of Normandy.  Coppi says, “there were no dry  runs, we were like clay pigeons when met by German machine-gunfire…but unlike today’s soldiers, at least we knew who the enemy was.”

Oliver Coppi, born May 30, 1918 in  Dunkirk, Pennsylvania, lived most of his life in the Monongahela Valley of PA.  His service to our nation spanned from Feb. 1942 through September 1945.  This past November 2, his beloved wife of 62 years, Isabel (Kossol) Coppi passed away suddenly leaving Oliver with a difficult decision:  move to a nursing home in PA or come to sunny Florida to live with his only son, Mark, and family.  Sounds like a ‘no-brainer’ to most, but for Oliver, the decision to leave the only home he’d ever known especially after the traumatic loss of his wife of so many years was not an easy one to make.  But after just six months, Coppi has adjusted to his new life in the sunny south saying he only wishes he had moved down here twenty years earlier!
As a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and avid NASCAR enthusiast, Oliver now enjoys spending time in his rocking chair on the front porch watching the abundant wildlife found in Enterprise’s oak hammocks, while serving as ‘gardening consultant’ to his daughter-in-law Melony in the garden they started together.
Oliver’s Son and family are very proud of Oliver, his courageous service to our Nation, and feel very blessed to have such a faithful Father and Grandfather. They plan to ‘surprise’ Oliver with a birthday party that will last through the entire Memorial Day weekend.   Any cards of thanks for Oliver’s service to his country, well wishes for his 93rd birthday or personal visits to share about similar military service during WWII will be most welcomed.  Contact no. is 407 302-6761.  Happy 93rd Birthday, Grandpa Coppi!  May God bless you, and may God continue to bless the USA!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE GAME PROTÉGÉ, X.O. RELEASES ANTICIPATED SOPHOMORE MIX TAPE

Altadena, CA (February 2011) – If fans and followers of X.O. thought releasing a single every day for the entire month of February was a one-time marathon event, it’s time for them to think again.  The Black Wall Street artist, actor and billboard chart-topping songwriter drops the first of 28 new daily songs for his highly anticipated follow-up mix tape entitled, “28 Days Later-Vol.2” on February 1, 2011.  The original concept, a month-long production of daily song releases, was rated as the number 2 mix tape of 2010 on SkewIn.com“In a very close second I have X.O.’s 28 Days Later.  The West doesn’t really get too much credit for being able to spit, but I see Black Wall Street has something to say about that.  This past February X.O. put out a track every single day, kind of like a marathon aka “Blitz.”   The mix tape was fire from top to bottom.” –Mike Real, SkewIn.com

“I got the homie X.O. who I’ve been rolling with since the beginning of my career.  He reps L.A. like I do and he goes hard.  He is a little bit more of a lyricist than me at this point and he is ready.  He’s been putting it down for a minute and I know he has what it takes.” – The Game, Black Wall Street

As a west coast artist from Altadena, California, X.O. has already commanded the respect of hip-hop icons such as Jay Z, Snoop Dogg and Pharrell who refers to X.O. as “one of the greats”, and his resume boasts the same industry titans and more.  In addition, he is an accomplished philanthropist who has utilized his notoriety to help those less fortunate in his community by organizing several annual holiday toy drives sponsored by companies like Target, Travis Barkers’ Stars and Straps clothing brand and the U.S. Marines Corp.
